Ezzam Rahman, recipient of President’s Young Talents (2015) and Young Artist Award (2016), is a multidisciplinary artist recognised for his exploration of the body through sculpture, installation, digital media and performance. Known for his use of everyday yet unconventional materials, his works are often autobiographical, time-based and ephemeral, addressing themes of body politics, identity, impermanence, traces and abjection.

His artistic practice embodies an aesthetic that is political, affective and phenomenological, reclaiming the abject as a site of agency while destabilising fixed notions of identity, materiality and memory. His performances and installations have been presented widely in Singapore and abroad.
