Donna Ong is a Singaporean installation artist renowned for creating evocative environments that combine furniture, found objects and original artworks. Her work has been presented internationally at the Jakarta Biennale (2009), Kwandu Biennale (2008), Moscow Biennale (2007), the inaugural Singapore Biennale (2007) and the Moscow Biennale of Young Art (2014), as well as in institutions such as the Singapore Art Museum, National Museum of Singapore, Hara Museum in Japan and Djanogly Art Gallery in the UK.
In 2009, Donna was awarded the National Arts Council’s Young Artist Award and the People’s Choice Award at the President’s Young Talent Competition. She has undertaken residencies at Arts Initiative Tokyo (Japan), Koganecho Bazaar (Japan), STPI (Singapore), Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Germany) and most recently Krinzinger Projekte in Austria.
