Felix Sng

Felix Sng is a design director and educator whose practice spans graphic design, book design, branding, and digital experiences. He co-founded SWELL in 2011, a design practice working across the cultural and commercial sectors both locally and internationally. Through his studio, he has collaborated with museums, institutions, artists, publishers and brands including RIMOWA, Samsung, National Gallery Singapore, Singapore Art Museum, National Arts Council, Esplanade, Asian Film Archive, NUS, NTU, Rockbund Art Museum, Sternberg Press and Objectifs. In 2022, SWELL was appointed by National Arts Council as designers of the Singapore Pavilion at the Venice Biennale Arte 2022.

He has been awarded by the likes of D&AD, Type Directors Club, AIGA, nominated for the President’s Design Award in Singapore, and featured on several international publications and design platforms. Felix has also served as a judge at design awards including The One Show in New York and The Gong Awards in Singapore.

Returning to his alma mater as an educator in a full-circle moment, Felix has been part of the Faculty of Design at LASALLE College of the Arts since 2014. He believes in nurturing young designers through the intersection of professional practice and education. He has mentored students towards numerous international recognitions, including repeated wins at D&AD New Blood, The Crowbar Awards, Creative Conscience Global Awards, and the Red Dot Junior Prize.

Beyond his studio practice and teaching, Felix has also been active in the digital space, supporting global brand activations and social media for adidas and Prada through Europe-based creative agency R.N.A.
