Ong Sheng Hua is a multidisciplinary designer. A twist of fate led her into the field of lighting design. She has worked as a senior lighting designer at the renowned firm, Project Lighting Design, with a decade of experience in hospitality and commercial lighting design that spans both interior and exterior applications. This unexpected path fueled her belief in the power of light as an intangible material that shapes emotive and memorable experiences for people.
In addition to her work in lighting design, Sheng Hua is an accomplished illustrator with over 10 children's books to her credit.
She is also a dedicated ceramicist with a passion for wood firing, an art form recognised as an intangible cultural heritage of Singapore. As a member of the Thow Kwang Clay Artist Collective, Sheng Hua, alongside a community of artists, is devoted to preserving and advancing this traditional craft.
