Shu Min graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, with a BFA in Graphic Design and a concentration in History of Art and Visual Culture, supported by the prestigious DesignSingapore Scholarship. She also received an MA by Research from the School of Art, Design and Media, Nanyang Technological University.

Working across print, screen-based media and exhibitions, she has completed projects for institutions such as the Singapore Art Museum, Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore Botanic Gardens and Borneo Cultures Museum.

As a member of the collective SISTRUM, Shu Min has produced immersive audiovisual installations for the Light to Night Festival and the Singapore Writers Festival, participated in the ZER01NE creator platform, completed a community arts residency at Singapore Botanic Gardens and exhibited at Gwangju Design Biennale.

Her research and design practice includes investigations into natural history archives and the cultural heritage of Singapore’s Thaipusam festival. Shu Min’s multidisciplinary approach thrives on collaboration, engaging with a diverse range of other creators—writers, curators, architects, animators, sound designers and technologists—to design experiences that inspire a more profound interest in the world.
