How do music, performance and heritage converge in a festival?
Using the Sibiu International Theatre Festival as the key case study, this talk highlights how festivals promote heritage and city branding through cultural exchanges, bilateral partnerships and attracting international acts from around the world.
This talk examines the multifaceted aspects of Sibiu International Theatre Festival, which takes place annually in Romania and features a blend of theatre, dance, circus, film, musical, opera, books, conferences, exhibitions, performances, music and street shows. This is followed by a panel presentation by LASALLE’s BA (Hons) Arts Management students, who will share key insights from their participation in the 2025 edition of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival in June.
