Ilina Hattangady, who performs professionally as Ilina Hats, graduated with First Class Honours from LASALLE’s BA (Hons) Music programme, where she majored in Pop Performance (Voice).

A singer-songwriter with a versatile repertoire, her work includes collaborations with theatre productions, ensembles and the opening song for season 1 and season 2 of the Amazon Prime series Four More Shots Please. Ilina was featured in music publications including Rolling Stone, The Guide and Midday India, and has worked with some of India’s most outstanding producers including Vishal-Shekhar, Ajay-Atul and Clinton Cerejo. She also opened for international artists such as Grammy Award–winning reggae artist Shaggy and Hillsong United.

Comfortable across multiple genres such as pop, R&B, soul, hip-hop and rap, Ilina hopes to release an album in 2021 authentic to her creative voice. The first single from her upcoming album, Scared To Be Honest, a collaboration with singer-songwriter and alumna Elsa Mickayla, was released on Spotify in November 2020. Her most recent single, Make It Through, was released in July 2021 and featured on Spotify and Apple Music ‘New Music’ playlists.
