Natalie Hennedige

Natalie Hennedige is the founder and artistic director of Cake Theatrical Productions, a leading contemporary performance company in Singapore. She served as festival director of the Singapore International Festival of Arts (2022–2024) and continues to shape its creative direction through 2025.
A recipient of the National Arts Council Young Artist Award (2007) and the JCCI Singapore Foundation Culture Award (2010), she creates multidisciplinary works across theatre, film, visual arts, performance and dance, often staged in unconventional spaces.
At the M1–The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards, she won Best Director for Nothing (2008), Best Costume Design for Queen Ping (2007) and Temple (2009), and Best Sound Design with Zai Kuning for Queen Ping (2007). She has also been nominated for productions including Sing Song (2005), What Big Bombs You Have!!! (2006), Divine Soap (2007) and Electra (2017). Her bold, boundary-pushing practice continues to redefine Singapore theatre.
