Faith Tan

Faith Tan has spent nearly two decades shaping and championing the performing arts, especially in the field of dance, commissioning choreographers and work from across Asia. At Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, she has built a vibrant calendar of programmes that support artists, expand audiences and deepen appreciation of the arts.

Faith spearheaded Esplanade’s annual da:ns festival and series, which now attracts over 60,000 attendees each year, and has driven initiatives supporting international partnerships and interdisciplinary research, including the Contemporary Performing Arts Research Residency (2022).

Previously, she led programme development at Helsinki Dance House (2020), commissioning six new productions by Finnish artists for the venue’s opening. In 2022, she co-led programming for AAPPAC’s 25th Conference at Esplanade. Faith is also co-founder of the Asian Network for Dance (AND+), advancing dialogue and collaboration across the region.
