  • Independent curator and writer

Loredana Pazzini-Paracciani is an independent scholar and curator of Southeast Asian contemporary art. Having lived and conducted research in the region for over 25 years, she brings a deeply informed perspective to her curatorial and academic practice.

One of the curators of the third edition of the Bangkok Art Biennale, she is also a prolific writer and editor whose work engages with critical sociopolitical themes. Her curatorial projects advocate for counter-hegemonic and non-Western-centric approaches to art and knowledge production. She is the appointed curator of the Timor-Leste National Pavilion at the 61st La Biennale di Venezia 2026.

Loredana has collaborated with leading institutions including the Nanyang Technological University and the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore); 100 Tonson Foundation, Art Centre Silpakorn University and Jim Thompson Art Centre (Bangkok); UP Vargas Museum (Manila); MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum (Chiang Mai); and Queens Museum (New York). In 2020, together with Patrick D. Flores, she co-edited Interlaced Journeys: Diaspora and the Contemporary in Southeast Asian Art, published by Osage Art Foundation, Hong Kong.
