It was the artistry and technicalities that attracted Adrian Huang to pursue studies in fashion design back in the late 90s. He co-founded ready-to-wear label, mizúwith two fellow schoolmates, which laid the foundation for his extensive knowledge across the fashion value chain, including design, manufacturing, business strategy and marketing.

Adrian’s design aesthetic is centered around the concept of ‘second glances’, emphasising that effective design captures attention through subtle details that intrigue viewers at a subconscious level.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Adrian is actively involved in collaborative projects and exhibitions with various institutions, including De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, DFS, Fashion Institute of Technology, H&M and The Korean Society of Fashion Business. His rich and diverse experience, coupled with ongoing research in digital transformation, future of craft, and fashion entrepreneurship, enhances the learning environment for his students.

Adrian advocates for the triple bottom line—people, planet, and profit—as a guiding principle for sustainable business success, understanding the evolving, interdisciplinary nature of the fashion ecosystem. Through his work, he aims to equip students with the skills necessary to thrive in this dynamic industry.
