TalkLASALLE’s MA Creative Writing programme invites you to a meet and greet session with author Elaine Chiew, who will be sharing a preview of her debut novel The Light Between Us, a speculative time-travel romance set against the backdrop of two important political movements in 1920s to 1940s colonial Singapore. It will be launched this May in London, September in the US and the rest of the world.
Come hear Elaine talk about using historical archives in fiction, publishing overseas and a chance to win an advanced reading copy of the novel.
About the author
Elaine Chiew is the author of The Heartsick Diaspora and compiler/editor of Cooked Up: Food Fiction From Around the World. Her stories have won the Bridport Prize twice, and been anthologised in the U.S., UK and Asia, most recently broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Elaine graduated from LASALLE's MA Asian Art Histories programme in 2017.
