The Singapore International Film Festival 2017 (SGIFF) is the 28th edition of the nation’s largest and longest-running film event. This year’s line-up was observed to be more stunning than the last for many of the selected films have already gained steady acclaim abroad.

Our Diploma in Broadcast Media lecturer, Wesley Leon Aroozoo, did a feature interview with The Straits Times as his documentary is one of the few being screened under SGIFF’s Singapore Panorama section – a platform that spotlights talented local directors for their ground-breaking work.

As story about the indomitable human spirit, that had recently made its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival 2017, I Want To Go Home was described as a gem that “will pull tears from even the most hardened soul.” In great detail, Wesley shared the impetus behind this project, and his film-making process.
