ExhibitionLASALLE’s MA Art Therapy programme and Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) hopes to facilitate a greater understanding of mental health and wellbeing amongst youth, as well as provide ways to support the community.
Therefore in conjunction with the World Mental Health Day 2018, a site-sensitive group exhibition will be launched within the library, extending out into the foyer and across the link bridge.
Traces will render responses and reflective experiences of some of our MA Art Therapy trainees’ professional interactions with children living with adversity. Informed by the landmark epidemiological Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) research study, the installations will converge expressions and explorations, aiming to work towards destigmatising perceptions around mental health, engage dialogue, provoke new thinking, and narrow the distance between the “diseased” and the “dis-eased”.
This exhibition is supported by The Ireland Funds Singapore.
