The Process of Understanding how to Listen: Non-Verbal Transmissions And Their Influence on Image Making in Art Therapy

Gráinne T. Young will provide an evening presentation for the LASALLE community, community-at-large, and the mental health community as part of the Artist-in-Residence series by LASALLE’s MA Art Therapy Programme.

Through a biographical approach, Gráinne explores how one’s personal journey brings one to a place of examining one’s orientation as an Art Therapist. This enables the process of understanding and the realisation of belief systems that determine one’s approach to practice.

Through exploring the theoretical concepts that follow this journey of growth, Gráinne delves into ideas of the heart as an organ of perception, the imaginal realm and the felt sense.
