Digital International Creative Arts Therapies Symposium (DICATS) is a free 24-hour global symposium comprising live presentations to showcase innovative usages of digital technologies for art therapy, and experiential activities for local audiences.

The symposium connects five international Hives, each hosting live-streamed seminars to an online audience sequentially over a 24-hour period. In connecting digital innovators, researchers and practitioners in the fields of art and art therapy, DICATS aim to expand the existing practice and promote interdisciplinary conversation across the globe.

Singapore's Hive is LASALLE College of the Arts, and the programme includes:

  • 3:00pm – Welcome message by LASALLE’s MA Art Therapy Programme Leader, Ronald P.M.H. Lay.
  • 3:10pm – Lost in another space by BA(Hons) Fine Arts alumnus Din Chan.
  • 3:40pm – The exploration of digital art media and augmented reality by MA Art Therapy student Alex Koen.
  • 4:10pm – Personifying a memory by MA Art Therapy alumnus Mahesh Iyer.
  • 4:35pm – Art x Tech for good by BA(Hons) Fine Arts student Eugene Soh.
  • 5:05pm – Empowered to create: The therapeutic use of digital media by an adolescent with cerebral palsy by MA Art Therapy alumna Shu Ning Poh.
  • 5:35pm – Roundtable discussion with the above participants.

Participants and guests are invited to stay on to watch the live stream from Moscow, which starts at 6:00pm, and part of the London Hive (until 9:00 pm Singapore Local Time).
