New! Music & Health

Music has always played a role for health in society - whether through one’s personal use of music as a form of enjoyment or a way to relieve stress; in a medical setting where music therapists help patient’s regain function or manage pain; or as part of a culture’s accepted customary rites to excite or soothe the souls of the living and the dead. Different music professionals have their role in music and health, in particular, music therapists, music entertainers, music educators, music practitioners.

This course will be an introduction to Music and its relation to health.
