New! Exploring Short Science Fiction Writing
Join Day Lane and be introduced to the short science fiction story. Using a series of text analysis and writing exercises, you will explore narrative structure, character, worldbuilding and the sociocultural context of science fiction and related genres, applying learnings to your work-in-progress at each stage.
Over eight weeks of workshop and discussion sessions, you will draft and revise two short stories as well as develop the skills to analyse and critique others’ writing. The course also includes two focused workshop sessions in which you will help each other make your stories the best they can be.
