New! Art appreciation series: Art and NFTs: What does the future hold?

This course is an introduction to NFTs, and designed for those interested to learn about the background and history of crypto art and navigate the concept of NFTs in arts and cultural contexts.

The course trainer will provide a brief overview of the technology that underlies NFTs and blockchain, introduce examples of artworks minted as NFTs, and look at how NFTs have prompted new art markets and communities.

This is part of the art appreciation series which includes the following topics:

About the trainer
Clara Peh is a curator and arts writer based in Singapore. She is the curator for Art Dubai 2023 Digital section, the fair's second edition of a dedicated digital/NFT section. She is also the founder of NFT Asia, the largest digital-native community that focuses on Asian and Asia-based artists, and the art lead and curator at Appetite. She has conducted lectures and workshops for LASALLE College of the Arts, Yale-NUS College, National Gallery Singapore, the 2022 Global Art Forum, and more. Her texts on art and NFTs have been published on Outland, Hyperallergic, Art and Market, among others.
