Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Compensation & Benefits/Payroll): 3-Year Contract

The Division of Human Resources & Organisation Development (HR&OD) is seeking a highly driven individual preferably with a passion for the arts and arts education to join us as a/an Senior Executive/Assistant Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer & Director, Division of Human Resources & Organisation Development and Senior Manager (Compensation & Benefits and Industrial Relations), you are responsible for the full scope of payroll function for all full time and/or part time staff. In addition, you will perform and provide support to the full spectrum of compensation and staff benefits/welfare functions, which include coordinating and organising staff welfare/bonding activities, preparing reports and statistics for management reporting (such as manpower costing and budgeting) and coordinating surveys. You will also assist in providing other operational support to HR&OD initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an established university in Human Resources, Business Management or a relevant professional HR/OD qualification.
  • At least 5 years or equivalent of relevant experience in supporting compensation and benefits and hands-on experience in payroll administration. Experience in payroll administration for local and international staff will be an advantage.
  • Diploma holder with 8 years and above of relevant experience of which at least 3 years of experience in payroll administration may apply.
  • Good knowledge of payroll policies and local statutory legislations (e.g.  Employment Act, CPF and tax legislations).
  • Good understanding of payroll policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Comfortable with figures and possess good analytical skills in interpreting, organising and presenting data/statistics.
  • Positive work attitude, good interpersonal skills and able to work well collaboratively.
  • Meticulous, organised and able to work under tight deadlines with accuracy.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and able to multitask.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality especially in regards to sensitive information/personal data.
  • Ability to embrace a student-centric culture and is service-oriented.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace (drive, doc and sheet).
  • Knowledge of Prosoft payroll is an advantage.
