Guo Wen started his career in design in 2004 after graduation, and worked as an independent designer and UI/UX designer for the SAF Centre for Military Experimentation (SCME) as part of his National Service.

He graduated with a First Class Honours in Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Communication Design in 2008 and was awarded the Academic Excellence award for his research project, The Total Environment in the practice of cartography. He went on to pursue his Masters of Arts Design with LASALLE’s Graduate Assistance Scholarship in 2009.

He was fortunate to work under the award-winning Creative Director, Kelley Cheng, also the CEO and founder of the design/publishing consultancy studio, The Press Room. Under her tutelage, he managed and designed for a range of projects that were varied not only in scale but demands – from art books, architectural magazines, major cultural exhibitions, environment designs to way-finding systems and set designs for theatre plays. Guo Wen is also a co-founder of Musement, a design collective.
