LASALLE College of the Arts will hold its annual Open House on the 15 and 16 January from 11am to 4pm to introduce prospective students to a versatile and dynamic setting for specialised Arts education.

In recent years, LASALLE has attracted a diverse group of students from all over the world. To date, LASALLE has had international students, who make up 30% of the student population, from over 40 countries, ranging from Austria, to Serbia, to Zimbabwe, making it an institute of global learning.

The 2-day event will feature an extensive range of exhibitions and demonstrations showcasing various students’ creations. Programme advisors will be on hand to answer questions relating to admission into the college’s 26 arts disciplines.

Those who apply within the Open House period will receive a waiver on their application fee for enrolment into the 2010/2011academic year. The normal application fee is S$60 for Singapore/Permanent Residents and S$120 for international students.

Besides academic qualifications, LASALLE requires applicants to submit a personal portfolio and to sit through an interview by faculty members to demonstrate their creative potential. For applicants who do not have a personal portfolio LASALLE will be organising a Portfolio Boot Camp held from Saturday 16 Jan to Sunday 17 Jan, 9am to 5pm. This workshop will be offered at a special rate of S$290 (U.P. S$360) if they register by Friday 15 Jan. This fee includes workshop materials.
