This talk will brief you on technology as a design tool, and will cover how Arduino was born and how its methodology has inspired a new trend in teaching based on the open source moment. It will also survey the emerging field of Fashion Technology. Workshop / students’ final works (Level 2 Interactive Art) will be on display for play.
About the Speaker:
Tony Olsson studied Fine Art, Practical Philosophy, and received a Degree in Interaction Design from the University of Malmö, where he’s been teaching since the Summer of 2007. He teaches courses in Physical Computing, Fashion and Technology, and Light Installations. He’s one of the original members of the 1scale1 Design Company that focus on Hi-fidelity rapid prototyping, and most recently he co-authored the book Open Softwear.
