Scholarships

In recognition of outstanding academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for creativity and innovation, LASALLE offers a variety of scholarships to new and current students. There are other externally sponsored scholarships which LASALLE students may apply. Enquiries and applications may be directed to the respective organisations.

Please note that miscellaneous fees are not covered by scholarships, bursaries or the Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (TTFS).

LASALLE scholarships for new students

The LASALLE Scholarship for MA studies is designed to identify the most talented new MA students with excellent academic achievements, strong leadership potential, and passion for the arts.

Eligibility

  • All nationalities
  • Applicants must have been offered a place in a full-time MA programme for the June or August 2017 intake
  • Non-recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid awarded by external organisations or LASALLE

Assessment Criteria

  • Impressive academic record with portfolio/audition/interview or other criteria as may be laid down from time to time
  • Outstanding track record and/or relevant experience in chosen field
  • Demonstrates engagement in chosen field with activities outside of coursework, such as participation and/or achievements in external activities
  • High level of maturity and strong leadership qualities

Value & Tenure
Up to a maximum of S$5,000 for the entire MA course

Scholarship applications for new students have closed for AY2017/2018.
This will reopen in February 2018 for new students commencing their studies in August 2018.

Please note that late or incomplete submissions will not be processed. 

Submission of an application does not guarantee any award of scholarship.

LASALLE scholarships for Current Students

The LASALLE Scholarship for MA Studies is to attract talent, promote excellence and develop future leaders for the creative industries.

  • Current MA students
  • Non-recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid / sponsorship awarded by LASALLE or external organisations

Assessment Criteria

  • Impressive academic record with portfolio/audition/interviews or other criteria as may be laid down from time to time
  • Excellent studentship
  • Outstanding track record and/or relevant experience in their chosen field
  • Demonstrates engagement in chosen field with activities outside of coursework, such as participation and/or achievements in external activities

  • Strong leadership qualities

Application Period : 1 – 21 June 2017

Applications are to be submitted to LASALLE College of the Arts, Division of Student Administration, Block E Level 2, Mondays – Fridays, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of award at the end of July 2017.

Public Scholarships

This is a bond-free merit scholarship for graduate students pursuing careers in the fields of fashion, design or service.

The Lien Scholarship for Social Service Leaders is a premier postgraduate scholarship offered by the Lien Foundation in partnership with National Council of Social Service (NCSS). The scholarship aims to groom talents, build up capability in the social service sector and develop outstanding leaders to serve the community.

Awarded by the Lembaga Biasiswa Kenangan Maulud (LBKM), applications for postgraduates scholarships open every July/August.

The Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship is synonymous with both prestige and a willingness to serve Singapore. It marks Singapore’s continuous effort to recognise outstanding individuals with the aptitude and inclination to contribute to our society.

Co-sponsored by the Media Development Authority (MDA) and established media companies, the Media Education scholarship is for Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents who plan to pursue a full-time media related postgraduate study in Singapore Institutions.

The NAC Arts Scholarship (Postgraduate) recognises outstanding arts practitioners and professionals with a vision to lead and advance the development of their practice in the fields of performing arts, visual arts, literary arts, technical design and production management, or arts management in Singapore.

The Tan Ean Kiam Postgraduate Scholarship scholarship seeks to encourage Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents to pursue their Master or PhD degree in the field relating to the Humanities.
