Scholarships

In recognition of outstanding academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for creativity and innovation, LASALLE offers a variety of scholarships to new and current students. There are other externally sponsored scholarships which LASALLE students may apply. Enquiries and applications may be directed to the respective organisations.

Please note that miscellaneous fees are not covered by scholarships, bursaries or the Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (TTFS).

LASALLE scholarships for new students

The Dare To Dream Scholarship is awarded to new Diploma students with special needs, who have demonstrated good performance, track record, and/or relevant experience in his or her chosen field of study. More about Dare to Dream.

Eligibility

  • Singapore citizen
  • Applicants must have been offered a place in a full‐time Diploma programme for the August 2016 intake
  • Applicants must be medically certified about their special needs
  • Non-­recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid awarded by external organisations

Assessment Criteria

  • Good academic record with portfolio/audition/interview or other criteria as may be laid down from time to time
  • Good performance track record and/or relevant experience in chosen field
  • Demonstrates engagement in chosen field with activities outside of coursework, such as participation and/or achievements in external activities
  • High level of maturity and strong leadership qualities
  • Preference for applicants in financial hardship with a per capita income (PCI) of $1,500 and below

Value & Tenure
S$5,400 per academic year for a maximum of three (3) years or the minimum duration required to complete the Diploma course, whichever is shorter.

The scholarship recipient must maintain a grade average of at least 60 for each level of study in order to be considered for subsequent years of scholarship, subject to a maximum of three (3) years or the minimum duration required to complete the course, whichever is shorter.

Scholarship applications have closed for AY2016/2017. 
This will reopen in Feb/Mar 2017 for new students.

Submission of an application does not guarantee any award of Scholarship.

The Peter Seah Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship designed to attract talent, promote excellence and develop leaders in the arts and creative industries.

Eligibility

  • Singapore citizens
  • Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Applicants must have been offered a place in a full‐time Diploma programme for the August 2016 intake
  • Non-recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid awarded by external organisations

Assessment Criteria

  • Impressive academic records and portfolio/ audition
  • Outstanding performance, track record and/or relevant experience in chosen art discipline
  • Demonstrates engagement in chosen discipline with activities outside of coursework, such as participation and/or achievements in performances/exhibitions
  • Displays strong leadership qualities

Value & Tenure
Up to a maximum of S$5,400 for one academic year.

The scholarship recipient must maintain a grade average of at least 70 for each level of study in order to be considered for subsequent years of scholarship, subject to a maximum of three (3) years or the minimum duration required to complete the course, whichever is shorter.

The Tan Chay Bing Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship designed to attract talent, promote excellence and develop leaders in the arts and creative industries. 

Eligibility

  • Singapore citizens
  • Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Students from ASEAN* countries who have signed the Ministry of Education (MOE) Tuition Grant
  • Applicants must have been offered a place in a full-­time Diploma programme for the August 2016 intake
  • Non‐recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid awarded by external organisations

*ASEAN countries are Brunei Darusalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Phillippines, Thailand, Vietnam. ASEAN students applying for this scholarship must be eligible for the MOE Tuition Grant and agree to sign a Tuition Grant Deed and work in a Singapore-­‐registered company for three years after graduation.

LASALLE scholarships for Current Students

This scholarship is open to current Diploma students with strong academic record and leadership qualities.

Eligibility

  • All nationalities
  • Current Diploma students progressing to the next level of their studies in August 2016
  • Minimum grade average of 70 in your June 2016 results in order to be shortlisted
  • Non-recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid awarded by external organisations

Assessment Criteria

  • Impressive academic records and portfolio/ audition/ interivews and/or other criteria as may be laid down from time to time
  • Excellent studentship
  • Outstanding performance, track record and/or relevant experience in your chosen field
  • Demonstates engagement in chosen discipline with activities outside of coursework, such as participation and/or achievements in performances/exhibitions
  • High level of maturity
  • Strong leadership qualities

Value & Tenure

The LASALLE Scholarship covers a portion of the course fees, payable by the student for one academic year.

This scholarship is open to current students at LASALLE. Scholarship recipients from the Faculty of Fine Arts are required to produce and contribute one piece of artwork each to be included as part of the Silent Auction in the Emerald Ball fundraising event each year. Recipients from other faculties are required to commit their time and service to charity events organised by the Singapore Ireland Committee and channeled through LASALLE’s Division of Advancement.

  • Open to current LASALLE Diploma students
  • Good conduct & attendance and outstanding academic performance, with a minimum GA of 70 to be shortlisted
  • Outstanding track record and/or relevant experience in chosen field
  • Demonstrates participation and/or achievements in external activities, especially in the area of voluntary work with the community and for charitable causes
  • High level of maturity and strong leadership qualities
  • Non-recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid awarded by external organisations

Value & Tenure

Up to a maximum of S$5,000 for one academic year

Awarded by the Design Council Singapore, this scholarship is for individuals pursuing full-¬time undergraduate or postgraduate studies. Applications open every January. More information can be found here.

Established in 2012 in celebration of Club 21′s 40th Anniversary, the Club 21 Scholarship is a merit scholarship supporting outstanding undergraduate or graduate students who hopes to pursue a career in the fashion, retail, service or the creative industries.
